During a time of total uncertainty and chaos, I started this project not just to stay busy, but to feel connected to friends and family who felt so far away. With France in a strict lockdown, eating alone every day quickly became dull. So, I reached out to friends, asking them to send photos of their lockdown meals—and before long, I was receiving everything from hilarious attempts to surprisingly creative dishes. Thankfully, I had an old stash of construction paper and a pair of scissors ready to go.
